The Corner on National Review Online: "'It's always a simple matter to drag people along,' noted Hitler's sidekick Herman Goering, whether it's a democracy or a fascist dictatorship or a parliament or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them that they are being attacked, denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism, and expose the country to danger -- and exposing the country to danger. And it works the same in any country,' "
Although the national review obviously points to this as an atrocious attack on our precious, vulnerable, popular, loveable, charitable, and honest president -- I think it perfectly and articulately encapsulates the attempts by the powers that be to muzzle dissent in this country. Unfortunately, when you call a spade a spade, you invariably get attacked for being too forward.
On thing, though -- why is that everyone ALWAYS uses fucking Nazis or communists to prove their political viewpoints?
